2010 OVAL CLASS RULES

NOVICE
This class is intended for beginners and racers that feel they aren’t ready to move up to the
other classes. Racers that enter this class may only race in this class on any given race day.
Once a Novice racer decides to race another class they can’t return to the Novice class.
1: Any 1/10th scale car or truck.
2: Truck, KDM, Sprint or Dirt Late Model bodies only.
3:All vehicles must follow Checkered Flag Raceway class rules pertaining to the body style
they are running.

4WD MINI
1: Any single motor factory made Stock wheel base Mini 4WD chassis.
2: Any Body, but we would like for this to become a Mini Dirt Late Model class. All wheel
wells must be cut out.
3: 11/2” spoiler allowed from deck lid. Side Panels are allowed with the maximum size of 11/2”
x 11/2”. The leading edges of the side panels must be angled rounded. (NO SIDE DAMS
ALLOWED)
4: 6 cell NICAD, NIMH or 2Cell Lithium batteries.
5: 4WD transmission only.
6: Any motor brushed or brushless.
7: Rubber tires only. (NO FOAMS OR SILICONED TIRES ALLOWED) Must be 1/18th-
scale wheels and tires.

2WD Short Course Truck
1: Any Production based 1/10th 2wd Short Course Truck.
2: Any Short Course Truck style body that covers the tires. No Baja, VW Bug style bodies or
Late Model bodies allowed. No spoilers or wings allowed. Short Course Truck bodies only.
3: 6 cell NICAD, NIMH or 2Cell Lithium batteries.
4: 2WD transmission only.
5: Any motor brushed or brushless.
6: Rubber tires only. Must be stock tires from either Slash, SC10, Blitz or Strike. NO J
CONCEPTS or PROLINE TIRES ALLOWED. NO 1/8 Scale Tires.

2WD MINI
1: Any single motor factory made Stock wheel base 2WD Mini chassis.
2: Any Mini body
3: 11/2” spoiler allowed from deck lid on Mini Dirt Late Model body. (NO SIDE DAMS
ALLOWED)
4: 6 cell NICAD, NIMH or 2Cell Lithium batteries.
5: 2WD transmission only.
6: Any motor brushed or brushless.
7: Rubber tires only. (NO FOAMS OR SILICONED TIRES ALLOWED) Must be 1/18th-
scale wheels and tires.

Modified Truck
1: Truck chassis only. No modifications allowed to chassis.
2: Suspension can be modified.
3: Only truck bodies allowed. . (NO SIDE DAMS ALLOWED)
4: 2” maximum spoiler allowed.
5: Must run Truck arms, wheels and tires.
6: 6 cell NICAD, NIMH or 2Cell Lithium batteries.
7: 2WD transmission only.
8: Any motor brushed or brushless
9: Rubber tires only. (NO FOAMS OR SILICONED TIRES ALLOWED)
10: Maximum Width 13”
11: Maximum Wheel Base 11.5”

SPEED PASSION SPEC B Modified
1: This class is intended as a step-up from the novice class, and for the racer that just wants to
have fun, learn car setup and just have a good time. Participation is at the discression of the
race director to make sure the class stays true to its intent. There will be a Spec ESC and
Motor, and spec tires used in this class. No Exceptions!
2: Any chassis.
3: Modifications can be made to the chassis and suspension.
4: Must run any style of a Dirt Modified body.7” maximum height and 21” maximum length.
2” spoiler allowed from deck lid. (NO SIDE DAMS ALLOWED)
5: Must run Buggy arm, wheels and tires.
6: 6 cell NICAD, NIMH or 2Cell Lithium batteries.
7: 2WD transmission only.
8: Speed Passion Stock Club Race ESC and 13.5T Motor Combo
The Stock Club Race ESCs feature only brake strength and drag brake force as
programmable options. All other performance parameters are fixed, and there is no USB
altering or updating capability in order to deliver the exact same consistent power for
everyone. So if you are tired of the “software/speedo/motor of the week”; for sure this is the
best combo to offer to fair and super low priced competition fun. We have the capability to
easily tech these systems and anyone using altered or a different motor/ESC/tires will be
immediately and permanently transfered to the A Mod class.

Kansas Dirt Modified (KDM)
1: Any chassis.
2: Modifications can be made to the chassis and suspension.
3: Must run any style of a Dirt Modified body.7” maximum height and 21” maximum length.

4: Must run Buggy arm, wheels and tires.

2WD Dirt Late Model
1: Any chassis.
2: Modifications can be made to the chassis and suspension.
3: Any manufactured 1/10th scale Dirt Late Model body. No Wedge Bodies. All wheel wells
must be cut out. Rear of body can be cut out. 2.75” spoiler allowed from deck lid. Spoilers may
have side panels but must be attached to the spoiler and body with the maximum size being 2"
x 3.25" max size. Leading edge of side panels must be angled or rounded. (NO SIDE DAMS
ALLOWED)
4: Must run Buggy arms, wheels and tires.
5: 6 cell NICAD, NIMH or 2Cell Lithium batteries.
6: 2WD transmission only.
7: Any motor brushed or brushless.
8: Rubber tires only. (NO FOAMS OR SILICONED TIRES ALLOWED)

Sprint Car
1: Any chassis.
2: Modifications can be made to the chassis and suspension.
3: Sprint car bodies only. All cars must have a top wing mounted over driver’s cockpit.
Wing measurements Minimum: Center 6”x 6” Right panel 3.5” x 7” Left Panel 4”x 7”
Wing measurements Maximum: Center 7”wide x 8” Front to Back Right Panel 3.5” x 8”
Left Panel 4” x 8”
Front wings allowed. Maximum measurements: Center 3” x 3” Side Panels 1” high x 4” long
4: Must run Buggy arms and tires.

4WD Dirt Late Model
This class will only be ran at Trophy races if there is enough interest.
1: Any 4WD single motor chassis.
2: Modifications can be made to chassis.
3: Any manufactured 1/10th scale Dirt Late Model body. Wheel wells must be cut out and
must cover the tops of all tires. Rear of body can be cut out. 2” spoiler allowed from deck lid.
Spoilers may have side panels but must be attached to the spoiler and body with the maximum
size being 2”x 2” Leading edge of side panels must be angled or rounded. (NO SIDE DAMS
ALLOWED)
4: Any drive or transmission.
5: 6 cell NICAD, NIMH or 2Cell Lithium batteries.
6: Any motor Brushed or Brushless
7: Rubber tires only. (NO FOAMS OR SILICONED TIRES ALLOWED)
8: This class is for any manufactured 1/10th scale 4WD Car. No Trucks allowed.
